I remember having a problem like this a while back. Looked online and found it had to do something with a setting in the users config file under Documents/My games. Look under Might and Magic V\Profiles\Your Name\User and look for something called 'setvar gfx_texture_mip = 0'. Set it to 1 then save. The resolution setting is in this user file too. FUPR.
