To charge Xbox Series X and S controller, you can use the same Play & Charge Kit that was specifically designed for the Xbox One Gamepad. The controller’s battery can be charged through its built-in-USB C port and works just as always. Sadly, third party batteries, particularly those that need users to install a new back cover, are most
Xbox Ambassador. |. Volunteer Moderator. Replied on March 19, 2022. Report abuse. Any USB C cable will do. The switch to the standard is more about charging, as C carries much more power, as well as standardization on a single connector hopefully this time. 1 person found this reply helpful. ·.
Any USB-C cable works to charge the switch, as long as it has the same or higher voltage as the brick. If you want to dock you switch you will need the brick, but as others have stated, with an aftermarket dock you can use some other USB-C cable. (Like the cable that comes with the Pro Controller) But I cannot stress this enough.
The easiest way to connect an Xbox One controller to the system is to use a wired controller, and simply plug its USB cable into the console physically. Wired controllers cost about half as much

Sync to an Xbox 360: Press Wireless Connect on the Xbox 360, then press Sync on the controller. PC: Plug a wired controller into an open USB port. For wireless, use a wireless receiver. Mac: Plug in a wireless receiver, download Xbox 360 receiver driver, press and hold Guide, press Sync on the receiver and controller.

Setup step 1: Connect power and TV. Connect the power cable into the power cable port on the console (marked by a single raised dot). Plug the power cable into a power outlet. Connect the HDMI cable into the HDMI port on the console (marked by a single raised dash). Connect the other end of the HDMI cable into your TV. Connect your controller to your device using a USB-C cable (or USB to micro-USB cable for Xbox One controllers). If the controller works properly with a cable connection, continue to the next step. If the controller doesn't work when connected with a USB cable, double check that the problem isn't with the cable or the port—try a different
Any regular USB C cable will work just fine and be cheaper. There is no official cable. Just use an Anker cable, they are the best, and last a long long long time. Just make sure you get the correct one, there are many variations and sizes. You will want the ten-foot one.
I was using type c fast data cable x4c to play on pc , I plug it into any USB port , and it was working fine but after I updated my bios The usb cable was not working properly then I plug it into USB 3.1 port ( the blue one ) and it started to work again :D I think the bios update made useless the old usb port( 2.1) for DS Btw I use DS to play

Test the cable. Check whether the cable is attached securely at both ends. Try a different cable. Sometimes a cable can develop a short, or it might be susceptible to interference. The Xbox One Play & Charge Kit uses a standard USB to micro-USB cable. You can use any USB to micro-USB cable to test whether the cable is the problem.

Contrary to what some have said, a USB C cable only supporting USB 2.0 will be enough. The front USB port on the new Xbox Series X/S is only USB 2.0 and plugging a USB C 2.0 cable into the new controller works just fine. But if you wanna use the cable for other things too that need higher bandwidth, go ahead and buy a USB C at USB 3.1 speeds.
